Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From New Chitose Airport, take the Hokkaido Chuo Bus bound for Shikotsuko. The bus departs from both the domestic (stop 28-1) and international (stop 85) terminals. The journey takes approximately 55 minutes to the Shikotsuko terminal. From JR Chitose Station or Minami-Chitose Station, take the Hokkaido Chuo Bus bound for Shikotsuko (Route number: “空4”Sora 4), and get off at the "Shikotsuko" terminal. The bus ride is about 44 minutes from Chitose Station and 50 minutes from Minami-Chitose Station. Once at the Shikotsuko bus terminal, the visitor center is a short walk away.

    From New Chitose Airport, drive approximately 40 minutes via Route 16 to Lake Shikotsu. From Sapporo, the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes via National Highway 453. Parking is available at Lake Shikotsu, with a parking fee of ¥500 per day for passenger cars. During the winter months (December to March), parking is free for motorcycles and automobiles.
