Getting there

Walking

From Otaru-Chikko Station, it's approximately a 12-minute walk to Otaru Port Marina. Head towards the waterfront, following signs for the marina. The route is straightforward and well-marked.

Public Transport

Take a bus that stops at or near Otaru-Chikko Station. From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hakodate Line to Otaru-Chikko Station (approx. 30-40 minutes, 800-1000 yen). Then, walk 12 minutes to the marina. Alternatively, take the Hokkaido Chuo Bus or JR Hokkaido Bus from Sapporo Station to Otaru (approx. 610-730 yen one way). Get off at a stop near Otaru-Chikko Station and walk to the marina.

Taxi

From Otaru Station, a taxi ride to Otaru Port Marina takes about 10 minutes. The estimated fare is around 1,500-2,000 yen. Taxis are readily available at Otaru Station.

Driving

From Sapporo, Otaru Port Marina is approximately a 45-minute drive via normal roads or 30 minutes via the expressway. Take the Otaru Interchange (札樽自動車道 小樽インターチェンジ). There is free parking available for general use. Paid parking is also available near Otaru Canal, with rates around 300 yen per 60 minutes or a maximum of 1,000 yen per day.
