Opened in 1995, this 74.3-hectare park (equivalent to 14 Sapporo Domes) offers a delightful escape into nature and Hokkaido's rural life. Satoland provides a wide range of activities and attractions. From May to early November, visitors can participate in seasonal vegetable harvesting at the Satoland Experience Farm. Other hands-on activities include butter and mini-parfait making, ice cream making in the summer, and miso making in the winter. The park also features flower fields, farm animals, playgrounds, and open spaces for recreation. In winter, the park transforms into a snow-covered playground with activities like snowshoeing and ice skating. The Satoland Centre features a restaurant and shops where visitors can enjoy organic vegetables and local produce. Remains of the early Satsumon period have been found in the park, providing insights into the origins of agriculture in Hokkaido.
