Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Satsuma and head south on Route 3. Continue for about 20 km until you reach Sakurajima. Once you arrive at Sakurajima, follow the signs to Sakurajimayokoyamacho. Inarijinja is located at the address Sakurajimayokoyamacho, Kagoshima, 891-1419. Look for the entrance of the shrine, which is marked by a traditional torii gate.
Public Transportation
To get to Inarijinja using public transportation, first take a bus from the Satsuma bus terminal to Sakurajima. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sakurajima, look for local buses that head to Sakurajimayokoyamacho. Get off at the nearest stop to Inarijinja, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the shrine, which is easily recognizable by its torii gate.
