Walking
From the Tenmonkan downtown area, walk east towards the waterfront. The park is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Follow the main street (Route 225) towards the bay, and you'll see the park on your left, past the Kagoshima City Aquarium.
Public Transport
Take the Kagoshima City Tram to the Waterfront Park. Get off at the Suizokukanguchi tram stop, which is the closest stop to the park. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the park entrance. The tram fare is a flat rate of ¥170 per ride. A one-day pass for unlimited rides on the tram, city bus, and Kagoshima City View bus is available for ¥600.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Kagoshima. A short taxi ride from Kagoshima-Chuo Station or Tenmonkan to Waterfront Park will cost approximately ¥800-¥1200, with the meter starting at ¥560.
