    From Kagoshima City center, take Japan National Route 10 for approximately 6.1 km. Yoshino Park has parking available. Permanent parking accommodates 420 vehicles, with temporary parking for an additional 800 vehicles. Parking is free.

Yoshino Park, situated in northeastern Kagoshima City, is a sprawling 30-hectare urban oasis offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Built between 1964 and 1972, the park sits on a 234-meter-high plateau, providing panoramic vistas of Kinko Bay, Sakurajima volcano, and on clear days, even the Kirishima mountain range and Mount Kaimondake. The park is renowned for its seasonal floral displays, with approximately 70,000 trees of over 140 species. In early April, around 40,000 azaleas burst into bloom around the central fountain, creating a vibrant spectacle. Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms bloom in late February, followed by other cherry varieties in April. The park also features a Japanese-style garden and a southern country-style garden. Yoshino Park was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Urban Parks in 1989. It offers ample space for picnics, leisurely strolls, and enjoying the natural surroundings. The park also provides various facilities, including a rest area and a glamping site. Note that food options within the park are limited.
