Car
If you are driving from central Satsuma, head towards Route 3. Follow this road heading south for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 225. Turn left onto Route 225 and continue for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Mount Shiroyama. Turn right onto Shiroyamacho, and after about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Mount Shiroyama (22 Shiroyamacho, Kagoshima, 892-0853). There is parking available at the site, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
To reach Mount Shiroyama via public transport, start at Satsuma Station. Take the Kagoshima City Bus on Route 12 towards Shiroyamacho. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to get off at the 'Shiroyamacho' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Mount Shiroyama. The bus fare is around 500 yen. Buses run frequently, but it's advisable to check the current schedule in advance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Satsuma. Simply tell the driver 'Shiroyamacho' or show them the address: 22 Shiroyamacho, Kagoshima, 892-0853. The taxi fare should be around 1,500 to 2,000 yen depending on your starting point. This is the quickest option and will take approximately 15 minutes.
