By Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Satsuma. Head towards Route 3 and follow the signs to Kagoshima. Once in Kagoshima, take the exit toward Shiroyamacho. Continue straight until you reach 22-13 Shiroyamacho, where the Shiroyama Park Observation Deck is located. There is parking available near the observation deck, but it may incur a small fee, typically around 300-500 yen for a few hours.
By Public Transportation
To visit Shiroyama Park Observation Deck using public transportation, take a bus from Satsuma to Kagoshima City. You can catch the bus at the Satsuma bus terminal. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance; the trip takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Kagoshima City, transfer to a local bus that goes to Shiroyamacho. The bus stop you need is Shiroyama Koen Mae. After getting off, it’s a short walk to the observation deck located at 22-13 Shiroyamacho. The total cost for the bus ride will be around 600-800 yen.
