Yoshiumi Rose Park, located in Yoshiumi-cho Fukuda, Imabari, Ehime, is a vibrant and fragrant destination boasting approximately 3,500 rose bushes representing 400 varieties from around the globe. Situated on the island of Oshima along the Shimanami Kaido, this 2.8-hectare park offers a stunning display of roses from mid-May to the end of December. The park is known for having over 100 kinds of heirloom roses, including their “Josephine Collection”. The best times to visit are mid-May to early June and mid-October to early November when the roses are in full bloom. The park hosts a Rose Festival in late May, drawing many visitors. In addition to the rose garden, visitors can explore the Yoshiumi Feudal Lord's Residence, which retains the atmosphere of the Edo period. A rose seedling sales office allows visitors to purchase rose seedlings and mini-roses. Other facilities include a Rose Hall, Rose Village, and a playground for children. While wandering through the park, visitors can enjoy views of the Seto Inland Sea. The park provides a relaxing atmosphere with seating areas and wheelchair-friendly paths.
