Car
If you're driving from central Shima, take Route 42 towards Kagoshima. Follow the signs for Yoshino-chō. After approximately 50 km, you will reach Sengan-en, located at 9700-1 Yoshino-chō, Kagoshima. There is parking available on-site, but be aware that there may be a parking fee of around 500 yen.
Public Transportation
To reach Sengan-en by public transportation, start at Shima Station. Take the Kintetsu Limited Express train toward Kagoshima-Chuo Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,500 yen. Once you arrive at Kagoshima-Chuo Station, transfer to the local bus service. Take the bus bound for Yoshino-chō and get off at 'Sengan-en' stop. The bus ride takes around 30 minutes and costs about 400 yen.
Walking
If you are staying nearby and prefer walking, Sengan-en is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Yoshino-chō bus stop. Head south on the main road, following the signs for Sengan-en. The garden entrance is clearly marked, and the scenic walk will lead you through Yoshino-chō.
