If you are driving from central Shima, take Route 260 north towards Kusatsu. Follow the signs for Kusatsu Onsen. After approximately 45 minutes, you will reach the town of Kusatsu. From there, continue on Route 292 for about 15 minutes until you see signs for Yugama. You can park in designated areas near Yugama, but be aware that parking fees may apply, generally around 500 to 1000 yen.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Yugama via public transport, start by taking a bus from Shima to Kusatsu Onsen. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop to your location. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,500 yen. Once you arrive at Kusatsu Onsen, transfer to a local bus heading towards Yugama. The journey from Kusatsu to Yugama takes about 15 minutes and costs around 500 yen. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as the frequency may vary.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Shima to Yugama. This option is more expensive, costing between 10,000 to 15,000 yen depending on traffic and exact pickup location.
