If you are driving, start from the center of Shimotsuke. Navigate to Route 4 and head north towards Nikko. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Nikko, look for signs directing you to the Sannai area. The Niōmon Gate is located at 2307 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi. There is parking available near the gate.
Public Transportation
To reach Niōmon Gate using public transportation, start at the Shimotsuke Station. Take the JR Utsunomiya Line to Utsunomiya Station. From Utsunomiya Station, transfer to the JR Nikko Line towards Nikko. Once you arrive at Nikko Station, exit and look for the bus terminal. Take the bus heading to Sannai. Get off at the Sannai stop, and the Niōmon Gate will be a short walk from there, located at 2307 Sannai.
