Getting there

Car

From Shimotsuke, head south on Route 4 (Tōhoku Expressway) towards Utsunomiya. After approximately 25 km, take the exit for Route 16 towards Yokohama. Continue onto Route 1, then follow the signs for Minatomirai. Once you reach the Minatomirai area, look for parking options near the Yokohama Landmark Tower. Expect to pay around 500-1000 yen for parking, depending on the duration.

Train

From Shimotsuke Station, take the Tōhoku Shinkansen (bullet train) to Yokohama Station. The journey will take about 1 hour and costs approximately 4000 yen one way. Once at Yokohama Station, transfer to the Minatomirai Line. Take the train towards Minatomirai Station, which is just 2 stops away. Upon arrival, follow the signs to Yokohama Landmark Tower, which is a short walk from the station.

Bus

From Shimotsuke, take a local bus to Utsunomiya Station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 400 yen. From Utsunomiya Station, take the Tōhoku Shinkansen to Yokohama Station, which takes about 1 hour and costs around 4000 yen. After arriving at Yokohama Station, take the Minatomirai Line to Minatomirai Station. Follow the signs to reach Yokohama Landmark Tower, just a few minutes walk away.
