Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Suruga. Use Route 1 and head towards the Aoi Ward. Follow the signs for Kiyomizudera and take the exit towards Otowacho. The temple is located at 27-8 Otowacho, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka, 420-0834. There is limited parking available near the temple. Please be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around ¥500 for a few hours.
Public Transportation
To reach Kiyomizudera using public transportation, start at Shizuoka Station. Take the Shizuoka City Tram (also known as Shizuoka Tetsudou) from Shizuoka Station and get off at the 'Kiyomizu' stop. The tram ride takes approximately 15 minutes and costs about ¥210. From the Kiyomizu tram stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to the temple.
Walking from Tram Stop
After getting off at the Kiyomizu tram stop, head south on Otowacho Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance of Kiyomizudera. The temple is well-signposted, and you should see its distinctive architecture as you approach. This walk will take approximately 10 minutes.
