    From JR Higashi Shizuoka Station, take the Shizutetsu Justline bus 'Nihondaira Line'. The bus ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Check the timetable in advance. A single fare will cost around ¥300.

    Taxi

    From JR Shizuoka Station, a taxi ride to Nihondaira Zoo takes approximately 30 minutes. From JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station, the taxi ride is about 20 minutes. Expect to pay around ¥3,000-¥4,000 from Shizuoka Station and ¥2,000-¥3,000 from Higashi-Shizuoka Station.

    Driving

    From the Tomei Expressway, take the Shizuoka Interchange and follow the signs to Nihondaira, approximately a 20-minute drive. Alternatively, use the Shin-Shizuoka Interchange on the Shin-Tomei Expressway. Parking at the zoo costs ¥620 per standard vehicle. Note that parking is not accessible from the top of Mt. Nihondaira.
