The name, derived from the idea of "20/20 vision," suggests looking beyond the present to the future of design.Tadao Ando's architecture is a key feature, with 80% of the building located underground to preserve the surrounding environment. The design incorporates natural light through a central courtyard. The roof, inspired by Issey Miyake's "A Piece of Cloth" concept, is made of folded steel sheets. The museum has two main gallery spaces and a smaller presentation space.21_21 DESIGN SIGHT's mission is to redirect visitors' attention to everyday objects and events, offering new perspectives through design.
