Sumida Aquarium is located on the 5th and 6th floors of Tokyo Skytree Town, accessible via multiple train lines. From Tokyo Station, take the JR Sobu Rapid Line to Kinshicho Station, then transfer to the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line to Oshiage Station (approx. ¥350). Alternatively, direct buses to Tokyo Skytree Town are available from Ueno Station (approx. ¥230) and Haneda Airport (approx. ¥1000).

Managed by ORIX Real Estate Corporation, the aquarium distinguishes itself with its use of artificial seawater in all its tanks, a pioneering approach in the Kanto region that promotes sustainability and reduces environmental impact.The aquarium's design encourages exploration with its open flow lines, allowing visitors to wander freely and discover exhibits from various angles. The Ogasawara Sea Tank recreates the vibrant marine environment of the Ogasawara Islands, a World Natural Heritage site, showcasing over 50 species of fish, including sand tiger sharks.
