Car
To reach Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima from Tajima by car, start by getting onto the Route 2 highway. Follow Route 2 towards Hiroshima for approximately 2.5 hours, which is about 160 kilometers. Once you reach Hiroshima, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the city, you will see signs for Peace Memorial Park. You can park at nearby parking facilities; expect parking fees to be around 500 to 1,000 yen for a few hours.
Train
If you prefer public transportation, take the JR Sanyo Line from Tajima Station to Hiroshima Station. The journey takes about 2 hours and usually costs around 3,000 yen for a one-way ticket. Upon arrival at Hiroshima Station, exit the station and look for the tram stop. Take the Hiroshima Electric Railway tram number 2 or 6 towards 'Hiroshima Port' and get off at the 'Genbaku Dome-mae' stop. The Peace Memorial Park is just a short walk from the tram stop.
Bus
Alternatively, you can take a highway bus from Tajima to Hiroshima. Buses typically depart from Tajima Bus Terminal and take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. The fare is usually around 2,500 to 3,500 yen. Upon arriving at Hiroshima Bus Terminal, you can walk to the nearest tram stop and follow the previous tram instructions to reach Peace Memorial Park.
