We had a wonderful day with our guide Kim. We were lucky that my wife and I were the only two that had booked, so we effectively got a private tour. The itinerary was well paced, and we got to see everything we wanted to (and more). We learned a lot of fun and interesting things about the Matsushima area and the Date clan, among other things. A particular highlight was the Retro museum, a few minutes off the beaten track and somewhere we almost certainly would not have found or visited on our own. Highly recommend booking this tour if you want a guided experience and day tour of Matsushima.

Matsushima Tour on Date Masamune

My guide Riko san after knowing that I am very interested in Date Masamune related places, she planned an amazing day tour at Matsushima. I got to see the Michinoku Date Masamune History Museum where the life of Date Masamune is being shown scene by scene, and Riko san also took me to the Zuiganji, for which is the Date family temple and it has a lot of Date Masamune related treasure. With Riko san detailed explanation, as a big fan of Japan Sengoku period, I had the best day trip!
