Public Transport
From Sendai Station, take the JR Senseki Line to Matsushima-Kaigan Station. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. From Matsushima-Kaigan Station, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the sightseeing boat terminal. Follow the signs towards the waterfront and the Matsushima Rest House. Alternatively, take the JR Senseki Line to Hon-Shiogama Station and then transfer to a cruise departing from Shiogama Pier (Marine Gate Shiogama). The pier is a 10-15 minute walk from Hon-Shiogama Station. Costs: * JR Senseki Line from Sendai to Matsushima-Kaigan: ~410 yen. * JR Senseki Line from Sendai to Hon-Shiogama: ~240 yen.

From Matsushima-Kaigan Station, exit and head towards the main street. Turn left and walk towards the waterfront. You'll pass shops and restaurants on your way. The boat pier is located next to the Matsushima Rest House and Central Park. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. Cost: Free
