Tohoku Safari Park offers an immersive wildlife experience, allowing visitors to observe animals in a free-range environment from the comfort of their own vehicle. Covering 1.5 million square meters, the park is home to approximately 1,100 animals from about 100 different species, including lions, tigers, giraffes, and elephants. The park is divided into different zones, including a free-range area where animals roam freely, a petting zoo where visitors can interact with smaller animals, and a reptile house. In the free-range area, you can drive your own car or rent a safari car to get up close to the animals. Be sure to follow the park's safety guidelines, such as keeping your windows closed in certain areas. For a change of pace, there's also a free, albeit somewhat dated, dinosaur museum on the premises.
