Experience Hokokuji

Getting There

  • Train

    From Tokyo Station, take the JR Tōkaidō Line (Shinkansen) towards Atami or Odawara. Get off at Yokohama Station (this will take approximately 30 minutes). Once at Yokohama Station, transfer to the JR Negishi Line and travel towards Negishi Station. After about 10 minutes, get off at Negishi Station. From Negishi Station, take the bus number 9 towards Kamoi and get off at the Kamoi 7-chome bus stop. Walk for about 5 minutes to reach Hokokuji.

  • Train and Walking

    From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line towards Zushi. Get off at Yokohama Station (approximately 30 minutes). From Yokohama Station, transfer to the JR Negishi Line towards Negishi Station. After about 10 minutes, get off at Negishi Station. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to Hokokuji. Exit the station and head southeast on Kamoi Avenue, then turn left at the intersection onto Kamoi Street, continuing straight until you reach Hokokuji.

  • Subway

    From Shibuya Station, take the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line towards Chūō-Rinkan. Transfer at Chūō-Rinkan Station to the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line and head to Saginuma Station. From Saginuma Station, take the Tokyu Oimachi Line to Kamoi Station. It is about a 15-minute walk from Kamoi Station to Hokokuji. Exit the station and walk straight on Kamoi Avenue, then turn right at the third intersection to reach your destination.

  • Bus

    From Tokyo Station, take the highway bus bound for Yokohama. After approximately an hour, get off at the Yokohama City Hall bus stop. From there, transfer to bus number 9 towards Kamoi and get off at the Kamoi 7-chome stop. Walk for about 5 minutes to reach Hokokuji.
