Getting There

  • Train

    From Shinjuku Station, take the Odakyu Line (Express) towards Odawara. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Gotokuji Station. After exiting the station, turn left and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Kaiso-dō, located at 2 Chome-24 Gotokuji, Setagaya City. Look for signs pointing towards the temple.

  • Train

    From Shibuya Station, take the Inokashira Line towards Kitazawa. Change at Shimo-Kitazawa Station to the Odakyu Line (Local) towards Odawara. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at Gotokuji Station. Once you exit the station, turn left and proceed straight for around 10 minutes to reach Kaiso-dō.

  • Subway

    From Tokyo Station, take the Marunouchi Line towards Ogikubo and change at Shinjuku Station to the Odakyu Line (Express) towards Odawara. After 20 minutes, get off at Gotokuji Station. Exit the station, turn left, and walk for about 10 minutes to find Kaiso-dō at 2 Chome-24 Gotokuji, Setagaya City.

  • Bus

    From Shinjuku Station, take the Keio Bus bound for Kamiyama-cho and get off at the Gotokuji stop. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After disembarking, walk straight for about 5 minutes. Kaiso-dō will be on your right at 2 Chome-24 Gotokuji.
