Getting There

    From Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line towards Ueno. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at Nippori Station. From Nippori Station, transfer to the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line and take the train towards Omiya. After 2 stops, get off at Nishi-Nippori Station.

    From Nishi-Nippori Station, exit the station and head east on the main road (Kita-Senju Dori). Continue straight for about 10 minutes, passing through a residential area until you reach the Yanaka district. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Kannōnji Temple.

    Once you are in Yanaka, turn left onto Yanaka Ginza, a small shopping street filled with local shops and eateries. Continue walking along this street until you come to the end. The entrance to Kannōnji Temple will be on your right, indicated by a stone gate (torii).
