Discover more about Miyashita Park

Miyashita Park, located in the vibrant Shibuya district of Tokyo, is a testament to the city's ever-evolving urban landscape. Originally opened in 1953, the park underwent a major transformation and reopened in 2020 as a multi-purpose complex. This innovative space combines a rooftop park, a shopping mall, a hotel, and various recreational facilities, offering something for everyone. The park's history is intertwined with Shibuya's development. In 1964, during the Tokyo Olympics, the park was redeveloped as a rooftop park above a parking lot. Over the years, it became a popular spot for locals and visitors, but also faced challenges such as becoming a gathering place for homeless individuals. The redesigned Miyashita Park is a modern oasis in the heart of Shibuya. The rooftop park features green spaces, walking paths, and unique facilities like a skate park, a bouldering wall, and a sand court for beach volleyball. The "Rayard Miyashita Park" shopping complex stretches 330 meters and houses a diverse range of shops and restaurants. The complex also includes the Sequence Miyashita Park hotel, offering panoramic views of the city. Miyashita Park is more than just a park; it's a symbol of Shibuya's dynamic spirit, offering a blend of relaxation, recreation, and retail therapy in a unique urban setting.
