Getting There

  • Train

    From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Takao. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Kichijoji Station. Once you arrive at Kichijoji Station, exit through the North Exit. From the North Exit, you will see a large intersection. Cross the street and head straight; you will find the entrance to Inokashira Park. Continue walking through the park for about 10-15 minutes. The Musashino Hachimangu Shrine will be located at 1 Chome-1-23 Kichijoji Higashicho, just outside the park area.

  • Metro

    Start at Tokyo Station and take the Marunouchi Line towards Ogikubo. Change at Shinjuku Station to the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Takao. Continue as described above from Kichijoji Station. This route may take about 50 minutes in total.

  • Bus

    From Shinjuku Station, you can take the Keio Bus bound for Kichijoji Station. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. After arriving at Kichijoji Station, follow the same directions as above: exit through the North Exit, cross the street, and head towards Inokashira Park for a 10-15 minute walk to Musashino Hachimangu Shrine.
