Subway
From any location in Tokyo, make your way to the nearest subway station. If you're at Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line (green line) towards Ueno. Get off at Ueno Station (about 5 stops). Upon exiting the station, follow the signs for the Park Exit. Once you’re outside, head towards Ueno Park. The Shitamachi Museum is located within Ueno Park, approximately a 10-minute walk from the park entrance. Look for the large open area with cherry blossom trees; the museum is near the center of the park, at 2-1 Uenokoen.

If you're near the Tokyo Skytree, you can take the Toei Bus. Look for the bus stop that has the 'Toei Bus' sign and wait for the bus heading towards Ueno. Get off at the Ueno Park stop. From there, enter Ueno Park and walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes until you reach the Shitamachi Museum located at 2-1 Uenokoen.
