Train
If you are starting from Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Tokyo Station. After 15 minutes, get off at Tokyo Station. Then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and take the train towards Ueno. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at Ueno Station.

Once you arrive at Ueno Station, take the Park Exit. This will lead you to Ueno Park. As you exit, you will see the park entrance directly in front of you. Walk straight into Ueno Park for about 10 minutes, enjoying the scenery. The Shitamachi Museum will be on your right, located at 2-1 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo 110-0007.

If you are starting from Shibuya Station, take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards Asakusa. After about 20 minutes, get off at Ueno Station. From there, follow the Park Exit directions mentioned above.

If you are near Tokyo Station, you can take a Toei Bus (Route 63) from Marunouchi North Exit. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Ueno Park stop, which is a short walk away from the Shitamachi Museum.
