Take the Tobu Skytree Line or the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line to Oshiage Station (also known as Skytree Station). From Oshiage Station, follow the signs to Tokyo Skytree Town; the aquarium is located on the 5th and 6th floors of the Tokyo Solamachi shopping complex. Subway fare from Nihombashi Station to Oshiage Station is ¥190-¥220.

  • Walking

    If you are in the Asakusa area, the Sumida Aquarium is a pleasant 20-minute walk across the Sumida River. From Sensoji Temple, walk towards the Sumida River and cross the Azumabashi Bridge. Continue following the signs to Tokyo Skytree Town. Once you arrive at Tokyo Skytree Town, the aquarium is located on the 5th and 6th floors of the Tokyo Solamachi shopping complex.

    Taxis are readily available throughout Tokyo. From Tokyo Station, a taxi ride to Sumida Aquarium typically takes 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is ¥3,200 - ¥3,800. Note that there is no dedicated parking lot at Sumida Aquarium. Parking is available at Tokyo Skytree Town, but it is not exclusive to aquarium visitors. Parking rates at nearby lots, such as 4 Chome-8-4 Taihei, are approximately ¥100 for each 12 minutes between 8:00-22:00 and ¥100 per hour between 22:00-08:00.
