    From the Ueno Park Exit of JR Ueno Station, walk south into Ueno Park. Pass the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan on your left. Continue a short distance, and the Ueno Royal Museum will be on your right, a little north of the statue of Saigo Takamori. There is no admission fee to enter Ueno Park, but the museum will have an entry fee.

    From Ueno Station (Ginza or Hibiya subway lines), take exit 7 or 9. Walk for about 5 minutes towards Ueno Park. Once inside the park, follow the walking directions to reach the museum. Subway fare from Tokyo Station to Ueno Station is approximately ¥200.
