Train
If you are in central Tokyo, make your way to Ueno Station. Take the JR Yamanote Line (the green line) towards Ikebukuro. After two stops, get off at Nippori Station. Once you arrive at Nippori, transfer to the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line and take the train heading towards Omiya. Get off at the next station, which is Nishi-Nippori Station. From Nishi-Nippori Station, take the East Japan Railway (JR) Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and get off at the next station, which is Yanaka Station. Once you arrive at Yanaka Station, exit the station and you will be in the Yanaka district.
