Getting There

  • Subway

    Take the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line from Tokyo Station. Board the train heading towards Yoyogi Uehara. After 7 stops, alight at Yushima Station. Use the exit A1. As you exit, walk straight on Yushima Street for around 5 minutes until you reach Yushima Shrine located at 3 Chome-30-1 Yushima, Bunkyo City.

  • Train

    From Shinjuku Station, board the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) heading towards Tokyo. After 5 stops, get off at Ochanomizu Station. From there, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and take the train towards Ikebukuro. Alight at Yushima Station. Exit through exit A1, and walk straight for about 5 minutes to reach Yushima Shrine.

  • Bus

    From Tokyo Station, walk to Marunouchi South Exit and take the Toei Bus bound for Bunkyo Ward. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the Yushima Tenjin-mae stop. From there, Yushima Shrine is a short 3-minute walk. Head towards the shrine's entrance located at 3 Chome-30-1 Yushima, Bunkyo City.

    If you are near Ueno Park, you can walk to Yushima Shrine. Start from the Ueno Park's main gate, walk south towards the Yushima area. The distance is about 1.5 km and takes around 20 minutes on foot. Follow the signs towards Yushima Shrine, which will be located at 3 Chome-30-1 Yushima, Bunkyo City.
