Getting There

  • Train

    To reach Ikegami Hommon-ji from Shibuya Station, take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards Asakusa. At Ueno Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and head south towards Shinagawa. Get off at Kamata Station. From Kamata Station, transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line and take the train towards Ikegami Station. Once you arrive at Ikegami Station, exit the station and head northeast on the main road (Ikegami Dori) for approximately 10 minutes. You will see Ikegami Hommon-ji on your left.

  • Train

    From Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shibuya. Get off at Kamata Station. Then, transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line, heading towards Ikegami Station. Upon arriving at Ikegami Station, exit and walk northeast along Ikegami Dori for about 10 minutes until you reach Ikegami Hommon-ji, which will be on your left.

  • Subway

    If you're starting from Shinjuku Station, take the Toei Oedo Line towards Roppongi. Change at Daimon Station to the Toei Asakusa Line and continue towards Nishi-Magome Station. At Nishi-Magome Station, transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line towards Ikegami. Get off at Ikegami Station, and then walk northeast for about 10 minutes along Ikegami Dori to reach Ikegami Hommon-ji.

  • Bus

    From Kamata Station, you can also take a bus from the West Exit. Look for the bus heading towards Ikegami or Kamata Ikegami. Get off at the Ikegami Hommon-ji stop. The temple will be right in front of you.
