Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading south on Route 3 from the Yakushima Airport or the ferry terminal at Anbo. Continue on Route 3 for approximately 30 km until you reach the Isso area. Look for signs directing you to Isso Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located in Isso, Yakushima, and offers stunning views of the coastline. You can park in the designated area near the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Yakushima bus service from either the Yakushima Airport or the Anbo ferry terminal. Board the bus heading towards Isso. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Isso bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to Isso Lighthouse. Follow the signs towards the coast, and you will find the lighthouse overlooking the sea.
Walking
If you are already near Isso and prefer walking, head towards the coastline from the Isso bus stop. Follow the path along the shore, which is well-marked. The walk should take about 15 to 20 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven in places.
