    Discover more about Eejanaika

Eejanaika, meaning "Ain't it great!" in Japanese, is a world-renowned steel fourth-dimension hypercoaster at Fuji-Q Highland, near the base of Mount Fuji. Opened in July 2006, it was the second of its kind and is taller, faster and longer than its predecessor, X2, at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The ride stands 76 meters (249 ft) tall, with a first drop of 65 meters (213 ft) angled at approximately 89 degrees, reaching speeds of 126 km/h (78 mph). The 1,153-meter (3,783 ft) track features 14 inversions due to the rotating seats. Riders are arranged four across in a single row for a total of 20 riders per train. What sets Eejanaika apart is its design where seats can rotate forward or backward 360 degrees in a controlled spin. This is achieved using four rails on the track, two for running and two for spin control. The ride experience includes a pre-drop where riders face backwards, raven turns, a zero-g roll, and a half camelback twist. Before departure, ride operators clap and chant "Eejanaika, Eejanaika". Note that riders are required to remove their shoes and leave baggage in lockers before boarding. In February 2025, the ride was temporarily closed due to an accident but reopened in May 2025 with updated safety procedures.
