If you're traveling by car, start from Yufuin Station and head east on Yufuin Main Street (Yufuin Chuo Street). Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with National Route 210. Turn left onto Route 210 and follow the signs towards Yufuincho Kawakami. After approximately 1 km, you'll see a sign for Matae on your right. There is a parking area nearby.

From Yufuin Station, take a local bus that heads towards Yufuincho Kawakami. Buses are available every 30 minutes. The fare is approximately 200 yen. Ride for about 10-15 minutes, and disembark at the Matae stop. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to Matae, following the signs along the main path.
