From Zao Onsen Station, take the main road towards the Zao Onsen hot springs area. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the road. Keep to the left, and continue walking for another 10 minutes. You will start to see signs for 懺悔坂 (Zangezaka). Follow these signs, which will guide you through a picturesque area, until you reach the location at 2301 990 Zaoonsen, Yamagata.

If you are driving, start from Zao Onsen and head southwest on Route 13. Follow the signs towards Zao Onsen. After about 10 minutes, you will reach a small parking area near 懺悔坂.
