From Zao Onsen, head northwest on Route 13. Follow the signs for Zao Onsen and keep driving for about 15 minutes. You will pass by scenic views of the mountains. As you approach the area, look for signs indicating Ubagami. You will arrive at the parking area near Ubagami, which is located at Yamagata, 990-2301.
Public Transportation
From Zao Onsen, walk to the nearest bus stop (Zao Onsen Bus Terminal). Take the local bus heading towards Yamagata City. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Ubagami stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Ubagami site. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited.
