    If travelling to Petra by car from Amman, take the Desert Highway south for approximately 3 hours. Follow signs for Petra and continue on the King's Highway until you reach the entrance to Petra. There will be parking available for a fee near the visitor center.

    From Amman, you can take a JETT bus to Petra. The bus departs from the Abdali Station in Amman and takes about 3-4 hours to reach Petra. Once you arrive at the Petra bus station, you can either walk to the entrance of Petra or take a short taxi ride to the visitor center.
