Getting There

• Walking

  From the Petra Visitor Center, exit the building and head south towards the main entrance of Petra. Continue walking straight along the main path leading into the archaeological site. After approximately 1 km, you will pass the Siq entrance on your left. Proceed through the Siq until you reach the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). From the Treasury, head back along the path you came, but before reaching the Siq, turn left onto the path leading to the Great Temple. Follow this path until you reach a main junction. At the junction, take the path heading eastward. Continue along this path for about 1.5 km until you reach a small sign indicating the direction to Wadi Musa. Follow the sign and walk down into the valley. As you walk, you will see signs pointing towards Petra Equestrian Stable. Continue for another 500 meters until you reach the stable, which will be on your left.

• Horse Riding

  If you wish to enjoy a horse ride to Petra Equestrian Stable, you can arrange this at the Petra Visitor Center. After securing your horse, ride along the main path that leads into Petra. Ride towards the Treasury, and upon reaching the Treasury, continue back towards the Siq entrance. Before you reach the Siq, take the left turn onto the path leading to the Great Temple. After about 1.5 km, you will find the junction. At the junction, take the eastward path and follow the signs directing you to Wadi Musa. Continue for another 500 meters until you reach the Petra Equestrian Stable, located on your left.

  Consider joining a guided tour that includes a visit to Petra Equestrian Stable. These tours typically start from the Petra Visitor Center.
