From Azraq Castle, head south on the main road (Jordan Highway 40) towards Ma'an. Continue on this road for approximately 125 kilometers (about 1.5 to 2 hours). Watch for signs to Petra as you near Ma'an. When you reach Ma'an, follow the signs directing you to Petra and turn onto the road leading to the entrance of Petra. There's a parking area available near the visitor center.

To reach Petra from Azraq Castle using public transportation, you'll first need to take a taxi or a local shared taxi (service taxi) to the nearest bus station in Ruwaished or Ma'an. From Azraq Castle, it's about a 30-minute ride to the bus station. Once at the bus station, board a bus heading to Petra (check the schedule as it may vary). The bus ride from Ma'an to Petra typically takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Petra, follow the signs to the visitor center.
