Getting There
By Car
From Azraq Castle, start by heading southwest on the main road (Route 30) towards the town of Azraq. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 15. Turn left onto Route 15 and drive south for about 70 kilometers. You will pass through the towns of Al Jafr and then continue towards Wadi Rum. Look for signs for Wadi Rum Protected Area. By Bus
From Azraq Castle, you can catch a bus heading to the city of Ma'an. You will need to reach the Azraq bus station first, which is a short taxi ride away. Once at the bus station, find a bus going to Ma'an (buses run fairly frequently). The journey to Ma'an takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Ma'an, you will need to find a taxi or a local minibus that goes to Wadi Rum Protected Area. The taxi ride from Ma'an to Wadi Rum will take about 30 minutes.
