Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Wadi Musa, which is the nearest town to Al-Siq. From the center of Wadi Musa, take the road marked towards Petra. Follow the signs for Petra and continue for approximately 5 minutes. Once you reach the Petra Visitor Centre, there is parking available. From the Visitor Centre, follow the path that leads into Petra, which will take you directly to Al-Siq.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, catch a local bus or taxi heading to Wadi Musa. The buses typically depart from the main bus station in Amman. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you can either walk to the Petra Visitor Centre (approximately 20 minutes) or take a short taxi ride. At the Visitor Centre, you will need to purchase an entry ticket to Petra (costing around 50 JOD for a single day entry). After entering, follow the path that leads into Petra to reach Al-Siq.
Walking
If you're already within Petra, walking to Al-Siq is straightforward. After entering through the Visitor Centre, follow the main trail into the site. The walk to Al-Siq will take approximately 15-20 minutes and is well-marked. The path is flat and accessible, making it suitable for most visitors.
