Car
If you are traveling by car from Badia to Petra, start by heading south on the Desert Highway (Highway 15). Follow the signs towards Ma'an and continue on this highway for approximately 2 hours (around 130 km). As you approach Ma'an, take the exit toward Wadi Musa, which is the town adjacent to Petra. Follow the road signs to Petra, which will guide you directly to the entrance. Be prepared for a parking fee at the site, which is typically around 5 JOD.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Petra from Badia using public transportation, first find a bus station in your area that operates to Wadi Musa. You may need to take a taxi to a larger bus terminal if there isn't a direct route. Buses to Wadi Musa leave from major cities and towns, including Amman and Ma'an. The trip will take around 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, it's a short taxi ride or a 30-minute walk to the entrance of Petra. Expect to pay around 3-5 JOD for the bus fare and an additional 3-4 JOD for a taxi if needed.
Taxi
For a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Badia to Petra. This will be more expensive, costing approximately 70-100 JOD depending on your negotiation skills and the exact pickup point. The journey will take about 2 hours. Ensure you agree on a price beforehand and confirm that the taxi driver is familiar with the route to Petra.
