Car
If you're traveling by car from Balqa Highlands, start by heading south on Route 15 towards Ma'an. Continue on Route 15 for about 1 hour. Once you reach the Petra entrance, pay the park entrance fee, which is approximately 50 JOD for a single day visit. After entering the park, follow the signs towards the Siq, which is the main passageway leading to Petra. As you walk through the Siq, keep an eye out for the breathtaking views of The Treasury from above, which is a short hike from the main path.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Amman to Petra. The bus departs from the South Bus Station and costs around 7 JOD. The journey takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival in Petra, you will need to pay the entrance fee of about 50 JOD. After entering, follow the signs to the Siq. To reach The Treasury from above, you may want to hire a local guide or join a tour group that can assist you in navigating the hiking trails.
Walking
Once you are inside Petra, the walk to The Treasury involves a pathway through the Siq, which is about 1.2 kilometers long. After reaching the end of the Siq, you will arrive at The Treasury. To view it from above, take the trail that leads to the viewpoint. This trail is steep and may take around 30 minutes to hike up. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, as the hike can be strenuous.
