Car
From Balqa Highlands, head south towards the Dead Sea Highway (Route 65). Follow this route until you reach the junction for Petra. Turn right onto Route 15, which will take you directly towards Petra. Continue on Route 15 until you reach Petra's entrance. From there, you will need to park your car in the designated parking area. The entrance to Petra requires a ticket, which costs around 50 JOD for a one-day entry. After parking, proceed to the Visitor Center and follow the main path into Petra.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Amman to Wadi Musa (the town near Petra). Buses leave regularly from the South Bus Station in Amman. The fare is approximately 7 JOD, and the journey takes around 3 hours. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you can either walk or take a taxi to the entrance of Petra. Taxis typically cost around 3-5 JOD for this short trip. At the entrance, you will need to purchase your entry ticket (approximately 50 JOD for one day).
Walking
Once inside Petra, you will need to walk to reach The Treasury from above. Follow the main path towards the Siq, the narrow gorge leading to the Treasury. As you approach the Treasury, look for the signs directing you to the viewpoint above. This trek involves a steep climb, so be prepared with appropriate footwear and water. The hike will take around 30-45 minutes depending on your fitness level.
