From the main square in Dana, head south towards the Dana Biosphere Reserve entrance. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the reserve, which should take about 10-15 minutes. Once at the entrance, you can ask a local guide for directions to The Treasury, which is a significant archaeological site located within Petra. Hiking
For a more adventurous route, from the Dana Nature Reserve, take the marked hiking trail leading towards Petra. This trail offers beautiful views but requires a moderate level of fitness. If you prefer not to walk or hike, you can take a local bus from Dana to Wadi Musa, the town nearest to Petra. Look for the bus stop near the main square. The bus ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Once in Wadi Musa, you can either walk to Petra, which is about 20 minutes on foot, or take a taxi directly to the entrance of The Treasury.
