Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, Ajloun Castle is approximately 15 kilometers from the city of Ajloun. From Ajloun city center, head northwest on King Abdullah II Street. Follow the signs for Ajloun Castle (قلعة عجلون), which will lead you to a winding road up the hillside. The drive takes about 30 minutes. There is a parking area available near the entrance of the castle. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, you can take a minibus from Irbid city to Ajloun. Buses leave from Irbid's bus station frequently. Once you arrive in Ajloun, you will need to take a taxi to reach Ajloun Castle, which is around 5 kilometers from the city center. The taxi ride will cost approximately 2-3 Jordanian Dinars and takes about 10-15 minutes.

Walking

If you prefer to walk from Ajloun city center, it's about a 5-kilometer trek to Ajloun Castle. Head northwest on King Abdullah II Street, and then follow the signs leading towards the castle. The route is uphill, so be prepared for a moderate hike that takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
