Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from the city of Ma'an, head south on the Desert Highway (Route 15) for approximately 20 km. Once you reach the town of Al-Jafr, take the road towards the southeast direction towards Jabal Umm ad Dami. Follow the signs, and continue along the road for about 30 km until you reach the parking area near the base of the mountain. Be prepared for a short hike to reach the summit, as the last stretch may not be accessible by car.

From Ma'an, take a local bus heading towards Al-Jafr. The bus ride costs around 3-5 JOD and takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Al-Jafr, you will need to negotiate a taxi or a ride-sharing service to take you to Jabal Umm ad Dami, which is approximately 30 km away. Expect to pay around 10-15 JOD for the taxi ride. Once you reach the base, prepare for a brief hike to the summit.
