If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Uum Sayhoun. From the center of Ma'an Plateau, follow the signs to Petra, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. Once you reach the Petra entrance, continue on the main road for about 5 kilometers until you see the signs for The Monastery (Al-Deir). There is a parking area near the base of the hiking trail that leads to The Monastery. Parking is usually free, but it's advisable to check for any updates or fees.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Ma'an Plateau to Petra. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Petra Visitor Center, you will need to purchase an entrance ticket to Petra, which costs around 50 JOD for a single day. From the Visitor Center, you can either walk or hire a local guide or donkey for an additional fee to take you to The Monastery. The hike to The Monastery takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and the path is well-marked.
