Walking
If you are in the center of Ma'an, head towards the main road (King Abdullah II Street). Walk in the direction of Wadi Musa, which is approximately 3 km away. Follow the signs to Petra as you walk, and when you reach the junction, take the road leading to Wadi Musa. Continue straight until you see the Petra Visitor Center on your left. It will be well signposted.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Ma'an, you can take a local bus heading to Wadi Musa. Buses leave from the bus station located near the center of Ma'an. Ensure that you board a bus that has 'Wadi Musa' written on it. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, ask the driver to drop you off at the Petra Visitor Center. It is a short walk from the bus stop, just follow the signs.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from anywhere in Ma'an to take you to the Petra Visitor Center. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting in. The taxi ride will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will know the way to the center, just mention 'مركز زوار البتراء' (Petra Visitor Center) and they will take you there.
